Does anyone know how a DFAS Audit can be checked to see if it's correct?

I received a VA disability and then received a DFAS Audit from 2004 to 2009 saying that
I owe the government a large sum of money. Nothing changed during those years so
don't understand how the VA approval caused this. I will take me years of the VA compensation to recover this large amount due to DFAS.
Any experience in this area would be appreciated.

I have no idea what your circumstance is. If DFAS is looking for money, it may be to recover retirement pay that was paid erroneously when it should have been reduced to meet the VA disability offset. If you are 40% or less disabled, that's what they do.
