Does anyone know how I can find internships near me?

I am moving into my last few semesters before graduating with my BA and I require at least a semester's worth of intern experience (for whatever reason, this is necessary). I am looking for something, on the advice of my advisor, that would require me to write due to my major being in English. Does anyone know of a way to find an internship like this? Or might anyone know of such a position?

I'll try to give some thoughts...I'd try newspapers or TV stations by you, as well as journalism programs at schools, incl yours, if it jas one. Then, I'd go back to your advisor, and explicitly ask their thoughts as well. Further, I'd see if the school you go to has any college work study (CWS) office you can ask to see if any office at the school can use for you for however long would be involved. I'm just curious...what specifically would you actually prefer to write about? Current events? Science? Public affairs? I'm only asking to see if you could elaborate on your preferences as knowing what you'd actually prefer doing might help, certainly, OK? Then, too, did you want to do grad level coursework at all? I !ran, what specifically did you want to do with the bachelors afterward...civilian? Guard? Reserve? Gonbsck in enlisted for the full 20? Warrant? Commissioned? Law? It'd just help to kmpw more, if you could do some level ofmbio sketch, that's all I'm suggesting...I'm just curious, what interested in doing the bachelors in Enough, per se? Literature? History? Which period of literature, if any, specifically? You'd listed Salina, KS, so I'm quite certain that there would be listings of internship spots near you, I couldn't imagine finding one with your school for the period you'd need, or a newspaper or TV station should ne an impossibility, those are just a few thoughts that cross my mind, at least initially, you kmpw? Elaborate if you can, as I'd said, I'd be most eager to hear more, OK?

Those ought to give you a fair clue...you could also vary Tue phraseology of the searches using externships as opposed to internship, and just repeat the sa!e searches under journalism, television, and public affairs, you might also add radio stations as well, just another added thought, of course....

Joe, many companies need technical writers. I wrote some SOP's when I worked in Quality Control. That might be an avenue to explore.
