Does anyone know if the 17C MOS is taking SSG? If so, what are the requirements?

According to the January In Out Calls (milper 17-007) https://www.hrc.army.mil/PrintPreview/Milper/17-007
It says SSG IN "Yes" Also:
(2) Soldiers may request reclassification into Career Management Field (CMF) 18, or
PMOS 12P, 17C, 25D, 25E, 29E, 31D, 35L, 37F, 46Q, 46R, and 79R (SSG only)
regardless of the In/Out calls for current PMOS. HRC will make the final decision on
reclassification approval based on strengths. Hope this helps.

Hey so I just had my packet sent up and it's now awaiting the panels decision to accept or reject me so they are now taking E6. It might be a bit of a wait from what I was told by my CC their seats are full for FY17 but in the same email he said they are trying to open more for this FY so fingers crossed and good luck to you brother!

I haven't but I am working with a MAJ that's on the Cyber branch and he really is pushing for me to go (I know that's not going to get me into the MOS but he says that he sees the potential) to a briefing on the 31st and of course I am going and I'll find out more there. I figured they have to be taking E6 since he pushing to attend and he told me me that they're. Just wanted to get a head start to see if I was going to waste my time due to unknown requirement information. SSG Terry Hicks, you have been of great assistance and of motivation to persue this career change. Thanks and to all else that contributed as well.

Hey so not to discourage you because they are taking E6 but about 5 or 6 months ago I was at a conference and had 170A and few CPT tell me I should go until I told them they were not taking E6s and man's it's been an uphill fight but if you want it keep working towards it and you'll get it and it sounds like you have more experience then me I'm all mostly self taught with anything cyber or programming but just remember if they don't take us on the first look doesn't mean we can't re-apply! No - 17C is current accepting E-1 through E-5.
Additionally,
- (1) Specialist and below with less than 4 years TIS.
- (2) Sergeant with less than 10 years TIS.
