Does anyone know of any upcoming deployments for this fall or early 2019?

My unit recently was told that we'd deploy soon and now we are being told it wont be until 2021, which is the year I ETS. Like most young soldiers i would like to deploy atleast once before I decide if i want to stay in. Does anyone in USA/USAR/ARNG know of a unit that is deploying in this time frame that needs extra manpower? Thanks.

You bring in the Guard can’t deploy With a reserve unit!

We are always deploying. You would have to do about two years of pre mission training first before going on deployment though.

It doesn't work like that. You can talk to your state's mob office if they have any units in need.

Obviously, I can’t get into specifics due to OPSEC, but my brigade (48th IBCT, GA ARNG) will likely be deploying next year to Afghanistan.

Go to Tour Of Duty and apply for one of those. As long as your MOS is needed, as long as you have a good packet and look good on paper, and as long as your state will release you, you can go.
