SGT Private RallyPoint Member 1774238 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I tried looking on google and APD, but haven&#39;t had any luck. Our finance guys were telling us that if we used our use/lose leave the last 2 weeks of September, we would lose it. However, from what I understood we are allowed to use our use/lose leave up until 30 September. Therefore, in theory we should be able to go on leave up until 30 September with our use/lose leave. Right? Does anyone know what official Army message covers use or lose leave? 2016-08-03T10:19:46-04:00 SGT Private RallyPoint Member 1774238 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I tried looking on google and APD, but haven&#39;t had any luck. One must be under 60 days by 30 Sep. If over 60 days on 1 Oct those excess days will be lost. If one was on leave in Sep, the leave days used are for that fiscal year, not the next one starting on 1 Oct. Finance must correctly processes the paperwork to include appropriate dates. This does not apply to special accrual due to deployment etc. See AR 600-8-10 Leave and Passes Response by SFC John Hill made Aug 3 at 2016 10:59 AM 2016-08-03T10:59:48-04:00 2016-08-03T10:59:48-04:00 CAPT Kevin B. 1775969 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Tweaking leave is actually done in the National Defense Authorization Act. The 2013 version reset the MAX back from 75 to 60 day carryover which implemented on 1 OCT 15. So whatever service Reg you cite would be a regurgitation of the DoD implementation Reg. BTW OPM implements similar policies for CIVPERS. One thing for sure, excess carry over authorization due to deployment must be approved at the correct level. The FM shop doesn't care if it isn't done right, the leave just vanishes.
