The images you showed are pictures of the actual ranks. O-1, O-2, and O-3 ranks are also slightly different for those different branches. The difference is subtle, so it&#39;s something that a lot of military web sites get wrong. For O-1 and O-2 ranks for example, the degree of beveling around the edges are different, as is the degree of curvature I believe.
