What about your medical treatment? Usually, it's one of those two. Or, you could always contact your HRO. They will definitely be able to tell you who you need to see. If yes. You would need to see a VSO thru the base you are out processing thru. If not then the base you are out processing thru you will need to schedule thru the TMC there. Your HRO should get you pointed in rot direction. But the Retention NCO would help Coordinate that! You will want to schedule your retirement physical at the nearest Army Post with services. In your case, you should call either Fort Drum or West Point. I think West Point is closer. Contact Keller http://kach.amedd.army.mil/SitePages/Home.aspx and schedule the exam. It can be done in one day, but bring both your dental and medical records. You should also schedule your VA physical prior to getting out. For that you need to contact the VA in Manchester, NH.
You will need to go into DTS and request your TDY to West Point. It should be 3 days. Good luck, and enjoy retirement. Also, don't forget to do the BBD (Benefits Before Discharge) paperwork with the VA Liaison. It is separate, and only determines your disability rating. A rating of 0 is still a rate. Get it done, don't procrastinate. Make sure you claim EVERYTHING that ever happened while in uniform. You earned it. Good luck! Response by SFC Richard Lotter made Jun 8 at 2016 7:38 AM 2016-06-08T07:38:25-04:00 2016-06-08T07:38:25-04:00 2016-06-07T14:10:33-04:00
