Does career progression get affected differently (negatively or positively) for different MOS in Recruiting?

We all know that a successful tour in USAREC will enhance a career (special duty). However, are some MOS' affected (Combat Arms for instance) more than others upon returning to the operational Army?

1LT Private RallyPoint Member once you go recruiting sometimes you never come out. It really depends on if you volunteer or are voluntold. I do believe it will help as a "broadening assignment" as we officers call it. However, others say you have to be operational at all times in the S3 side of the house. I reality it depends mostly on your evaluations and the needs of the Army at the time of the board.
