Does college credit that was awarded for military training count towards promotion points? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/does-college-credit-that-was-awarded-for-military-training-count-towards-promotion-points <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I recently sent in my college transcripts (for which I have 45 SH, 39 of those SH hours were from my military training that they converted) and was only given credit for 6 of those SH from other classes. Is this allowed? Shouldnt I be getting credit for all of my semester hours because my college deemed my military training the equivalent of 39 SH? Nobody here will be able to speak to the schools policy on accepting credit from outside organizations. You&#39;re wanting your military training to count as promotion points for civilian education because a college granted you credit for that training towards their degree. I can see why the military would not count those for promotion points because it would be viewed as double-dipping. LTC Kevin B. The American Counsel on Education recommends that your experience COULD be equivalent to up to 39 hours in certain areas by any college that chooses to award it. ACE is not a college and cannot award credit. Your AIT is not a college and cannot award credit. You have to find a college and degree program that will award the most credit if you want to receive credit for your military training. Make sure you have the documents to support it and give it through your CoC and make sure you follow up on it.
