Once you learn the system it isn't that bad. I will say that DTS reviewers and approvers are getting more strict with the current budget constraints. More vouchers are being kicked back to ensure everything is accurate and to ensure you are not getting over paid (according to the DOD) for your travel.

There are specific details that need to be put in there. Unless they send out a cheat sheet, higher needs to be more proactive with inputting details such as the accounting portion.

DTS only works with older explorer I belive 10 an lower. And the it only works with a lower Java JLE. There are only two computers at my work on NIPR that will let you into DTS.

Yes, but you know what really makes me want me to throw my computer? One word: ALMS!!! What a piece of crap training software that is. It never ceases to amaze me. That is the worst interface I have ever experienced. And to think, the Army is paying a LOT of money for that garbage.

I like DTS. I use it often (create vouchers for all Soldiers in my unit). Plus I have a word doc with all required stuff in it so all I have to do is control c and v and paste. Then just have to type in ERC codes etc.

I managed DTS for 2 squadrons over my last 3 and a half years in the AF. It was a pain in the ass, but once I "got it down," it was ok. Not great, but... I no longer wanted to throw my computer through the wall.

The fact that I also have 15+ years in civilian IT and know for a fact that it could be 100% better doesn't help.

In fact, I have some TDY coming up in a bit over a month, and I am already getting preemptively frustrated.

Yes. I also hate Move.mil... I understand the desire to go online with more of our administrative functions, and centralizing, but sometimes it is nice to have someone to bounce a question off of without having to go through a phone tree.

Every Mil system ever just boggles my mind. Case-in-point: Army moves to Enterprise Email to make things even more super-duper secure, it gets incredibly difficult to access, more Soldiers can't access it than ever, and civilian e-mail usage increases. That's irony, folks
