Does ETSing a good Soldier seem easier than chaptering a bad Soldier? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/does-etsing-a-good-soldier-seem-easier-than-chaptering-a-bad-soldier <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Has anyone else noticed that good soldiers are being forced to ETS and it is getting harder to chapter soldiers that cant pass there pt test of even properly perform thier job. Please give me your input on this I want to know if it is the same throughout the military. She had it all planned out. Problem was she did not expect all these hiccups along the way. Fe... clearing 3 libraries on post. Oh yeah and how about she had to take a online sponsorhship class before she ETS'd.  The comment she was I'm not PCSin'g, I am ETSing. On the other hand a soldier we chaptered tood 5 days. What a difference. Amazingly he had less to clear. They were so desperate to get rid of him that they wouldn't risk any UCMJ actions delaying his departure. It worked though. There needs to be checks and balances for any sort of admin discharge due and if there wasn't I can safely bet that a lot of CoCs would kick out everyone who had a major issue like a bad divorce, credit issues, acclimatization to the Army issues (junior Soldiers). While I think it is reprehensible that we are getting rid of good quality Soldiers and I think it is good that it is hard to kick a Soldier out. The most difficult chapter I had to conduct was on my Soldier that stated he would not cooperate in any way unless he was shown respect (which isn't bad but his tone was terrible). He had respect for me, but still wanted the Army to pay since it was kicking him out and doing it to him in a way that he didn't like. It was like tug of war at times, it was very difficult.
