Does everyone get a day off after the Super Bowl?

First BDE or post I've been to that does this. Ridiculous or good call? Thoughts?

My personal opinion is if the mentality is that people are going to get stupid drink on Sunday and then come into work the next day hung over or drunk...then it's a stupid policy. Hold people accountable for professional behavior.

If the idea is just an excuse for a DONSA to improve morale etc I can live with it.

In the society we live in, someone will sue because they don't get a DONSA for the table tennis championships/competition/finals/whatever it is called.

I got the day off when I was at Fort Bliss, and we told that in 2ID land that we get it off here as well. The reasoning that I was given is so that people don't show p to work call drunk or hungover.

When i was Ft Campbell we the day off after the Super Bowl because the CG already knew soldiers would be hung over including himself, however, that wasn't the case when I got here to Ft Hood.

I have always been a year behind the day after the super bawl. Its right there with "a four day every month" and "if you do not have anything going on go home". So the best I have had is a 0900 work call (once).

When I was at Fort Campbell and in South Korea we got the day after off... not sure that it's like that everywhere though. I am now at JBLM and haven't heard anything
