(Hardest part is starting it) however and buddy of mine finally helped me get my mind back on track and I’m offically going to start it. <br /><br />I’m asking this question for general knowledge, any input is appreciatedDoes having a Bacherlors degree make me more “competitive” for promotion as a Warrant?2019-11-25T13:30:53-05:00SGT Private RallyPoint Member5274488<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I’m currently enrolled in college and am wondering if completely my bachelors degree would make me more competive for promotion. <br />Yes I know CW2 is automatic in terms of TIG, but being looked at for 3/4 would having my bacherlors degree completed and going for my masters later. <br /><br />Back story ; I’ve been saying I was going to “start” my flight packet, and never did. The promotion rate is geared towards those who have the intellectual capacity for leadership rather than the physical aptitude.Response by CW2 Private RallyPoint Member made Nov 25 at 2019 1:42 PM2019-11-25T13:42:10-05:002019-11-25T13:42:10-05:00SFC Michael Hasbun5274504<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>There are literally zero situations where having a degree is a bad thing (unless there's a serial killer stalking college graduates, I suppose)...Response by SFC Michael Hasbun made Nov 25 at 2019 1:44 PM2019-11-25T13:44:34-05:002019-11-25T13:44:34-05:00MSG Private RallyPoint Member5274510<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Sure as hell won't hurt your chancesResponse by MSG Private RallyPoint Member made Nov 25 at 2019 1:50 PM2019-11-25T13:50:10-05:002019-11-25T13:50:10-05:00CW2 Michael Bodnar5274615<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>It certainly cannot hurt your chances. As long as you have the required time as an E5 (with three NCOER's), that will only give you more of a leg up.Response by CW2 Michael Bodnar made Nov 25 at 2019 2:24 PM2019-11-25T14:24:22-05:002019-11-25T14:24:22-05:00CW3 David Covey5274872<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Definitely.. Having a piece of paper is always better than experience or devotion to duty as far as promotion boards are concerned.. Be sure to suck up to your commanders for that coveted top block too.. And yes I'm still bitter over being passed over.Response by CW3 David Covey made Nov 25 at 2019 4:07 PM2019-11-25T16:07:44-05:002019-11-25T16:07:44-05:00MAJ Javier Rivera5275004<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>It will.
