Does having a Bacherlors degree make me more “competitive” for promotion as a Warrant?

I’m currently enrolled in college and am wondering if completely my bachelors degree would make me more competive for promotion.
Yes I know CW2 is automatic in terms of TIG, but being looked at for 3/4 would having my bacherlors degree completed and going for my masters later.

Back story ; I’ve been saying I was going to “start” my flight packet, and never did. (Hardest part is starting it) however and buddy of mine finally helped me get my mind back on track and I’m offically going to start it.

I’m asking this question for general knowledge, any input is appreciated

In today’s Army, having a degree will make you more competitive than someone who doesn’t. The promotion rate is geared towards those who have the intellectual capacity for leadership rather than the physical aptitude.

There are literally zero situations where having a degree is a bad thing (unless there's a serial killer stalking college graduates, I suppose)...

It certainly cannot hurt your chances. As long as you have the required time as an E5 (with three NCOER's), that will only give you more of a leg up.

Definitely.. Having a piece of paper is always better than experience or devotion to duty as far as promotion boards are concerned.. Be sure to suck up to your commanders for that coveted top block too.. And yes I'm still bitter over being passed over.

It will. Like any other section board you are competing with other fellows therefore anything that gives you an advantage is a plus.
