Does it help when dropping a 153A warrant officer packet to have a more senior warrant recommendation?

I am in the process of completing a 153A Warrant Officer Packet. I have already met the prerequisites for the physical and passed the SIFT (scored a 54). I have a 264 PT score and 121 GT score. The commander has already written my recommendation letter, and the battalion commander has agreed to write one for me as well. However, as I am stationed in a forward support company rather than a flight company, my communication with the 153A warrant officers has been limited to those at the CW3-CW4 level. Would a recommendation from one of those be just as likely to qualify my packet with the board, or should I aim to receive one from the CW5 in the Battalion? Note, I have only interacted with this person once in the whole time I have been in the unit.

Purely as.a thought, you might see where they have a chapter near you, or see where ARNG or USAR,.maybe active duty, has a rotary wing unit you might visit...then, too, I'd be curious if you've tried to take advantage of any mil aero club near you for any FAA ratings, or gone for any college.level aviation training at all...I was also wondering, being as I see you're power generation, have you done a technical awaits or bachelors at all, what major(s), grades, GPAs, hobbies, interests, reading tastes, sport incl martial arts if any, I just have an interest in career/educ topics generally...we had a family friend who was Army enlisted get Army WOCS for rotary wing, he did his bach in aviation at Embry Riddle, Army released him, USCG picked him up, he finished his 20 yrs as a USCG O-3 rotary wing, I've read it's a very rough program, apparently...also, have you asked at all for an orientation ride from any Army rotary wing unit, or sought a private flight school for a rotary wing orientation flight, even if done purely out of pocket? Those are just various ideas I've had whenever I've encountered questions about the rotary wing WOCS program, I'd be most eager to hear more, no rusn, whenever clings ient, many thanks....

Any senior warrant, W3-W5, will be fine.

If you were on the bubble, a hard-hitting recommendation from a widely-known CW5 might help. Your qualifications all seem to be above the line so just get a qualified letter in your packet and send it ASAP. Now more than ever, qualified=selected.

For me, it all came down to my board. As CW4 David White stated, you are above the line for qualifying, and the Army needs warrant officer aviators.

An endorsement from WOPA (W.O. Protection Assn.) should help, but good luck finding their contact info. Very secretive.

Commanders have alot of influence in these decisions. Also, I would highly suggest you contact your congress and senate reps for recommendations. The highest octane in the mix, provides the best results I have found.
