I tried to ask through Navy BUPERS channels before I transitioned and then through Army HRC channels...but neither could provide a valid/definitive answer other than just saying - no, they don&#39;t carry over. I&#39;m sure it has to do with what one of the previous posters mentioned, about it being a new service contract. Cash the days in if you need the money but there is a lifetime limit to the amount of days you can cash in so be careful with that decision, you may need or want that later and it is only base pay. Leave can not be transferred to another service, but the &quot;paid leave&quot; is a shared item in the DOD. So if in the future you separate from the Air Force, you will only be paid for any leave up to the total of 60 days from your total military service. Any additional leave days are forfeited.
