SPC Private RallyPoint Member 3717230 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>My AIT drill sergeant threatened to Phase me to Black Phase so I can’t use the open door policy. Does she have this right? A lot of things she says seems like lies and near unethical. I hate not being able to trust my NCO and don’t feel she’s here to help. I feel like all she cares about is get a rise out of asserting her dominance over us. im a good student with a high gpa and I’ve never been counseled or been in any trouble. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Does my AIT drill sergeant have the right to phase me to Black Phase so that I can’t use the open door policy? 2018-06-16T15:25:37-04:00 SPC Private RallyPoint Member 3717230 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>My AIT drill sergeant threatened to Phase me to Black Phase so I can’t use the open door policy. It&#39;s there, mandated by the CDR, to be your last resort in the event a problem can&#39;t be solved at the lowest level. I would seek some advice from your Senior DS or someone that is above the DS you&#39;re having issues with in order to use the open door policy and hopefully resolve your issues. I feel like you’re not telling us something... As a company clerk I would advise you that the open door policy is irrevocable. I can&#39;t help but wonder what is really going on here that your DS would get to this point Response by SP5 Dennis Loberger made Jun 17 at 2018 1:51 PM 2018-06-17T13:51:04-04:00 2018-06-17T13:51:04-04:00 SGM Bill Frazer 3802597 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>1. No One can restrict you from using the Open Door Policy, they can restrict, passes, phones, PX, snacks etc. Nor can they restrict you from seeing JAG or the EO NCO/Officer. Not knowing your NCO, I will not make a judgement call- you will have to live with her till AIT graduation. Geez, I&#39;m old. We just had basic and AIT rolled into one (11B, Benning, Sand Hill)...and as for phases and all that, never crossed our mind. Just put our heads down, got through it, and moved on to jump school.<br />Why not just suck it up and move on when AIT is over?<br />You sound whiny, to be candid.<br />Unless you are physically threatened, suck it up.
