Does my husband get BAH even though I am National Guard in Ohio and he is stationed in Fort Bragg, North Carolina?

they told him I would have to change my duty station in order for us to recieve BAH, but I was told I would be his dependent so why wouldn't we get BAH?

only one of you should get BAH, if it shows up in his check then it wont show up in yours. Being in the guard, dont you have a choice as to which location you choose to set up a household?

I don't know who "they" are, but your husband should fill out a form to start BAH at his duty station. Where you're located is irrelevant unless you're on active duty.

If he is active duty he would get BAH for Bragg w/dep. if you are activated you would get without- if you have other dependents. Otherwise you both get without/dep.

Your husband should be receiving BAH with dependent. Hopefully they don’t have him in the barracks because the Army did away with the Geographic Bachelor. You are not active AGR, so he should have been receiving BAH. Someone is giving him the run around...

You aren't changing your duty station. You are changing your geographical location.
The standard for BAH is authorized based on rank (amount received), dependency status (spouse is a dependent), and duty station zip code.
If he is residing in the barracks (government housing?) that may likely be the problem with the BAH being started.

An M day soldier does not get BAH. He must be AGR unless I am missing something.

Your BAH goes by who is the higer ranked service member.
Now the question is he Ative duty. Then it is his rank.
Then it goes to if you both are on ative duty stats and for how long.
And if you are seperated, and nether one of you are in goverment quarters.
at that point it is the diffrent commands. To allow full or partial BAH.
