As of now at osut we've been told once we get inserted to whatever company we'll do the regular Pt test and the new one at the end. How does the grading go if they're still "testing" it before 2020's fiscal year starts ? Does the ACFT count against us as of now ? 2019-12-09T08:10:40-05:00 SGT Private RallyPoint Member 5324090

Not too worried about the new PT test, just a bit confused on how its being implemented. Since they are requiring everyone to take one not for ACFT starting in October 2019 it is possible depending on the results from those test for test for the Army to start as early as April 2020. It is also possible, depending on the results from the not for record tests for the Army to slide the record testings date past October 2020 while they revamp either the test or the scoring. I cant speak for other units, however the POI has changed for my unit. So I’m order to graduate BCT you have to pass the ACFT in the gold standards. We are still
Teaching the APFT however it is only for familiarization.
The grading is for the ACFT as long as you pass the Gold standards yoh will pass BCT. Then again things always change. But as of right now that is how my unit is implementing the ACFT in the BCT. Best of luck. In all honesty, the ACFT is super easy to pass. You will do great. I believe though a school house can require a passing score on it to graduate a course. However, Soldiers in Basic have to pass it before graduating (as far as I read earlier this year). The official NLT date for the ACFT is 1 October 2020, FY21, according to the ACFT Initial Operation Capability 1 Oct 2019 to 30 Sep 2020. This is how I understand this reading thus far, but can change. Also, check HQDA EXORD 231-18 for more information.
