If you exceed that you will end up paying back the extra to your GTC. Also, that 10 days of TLE is for the front side and the backside combined. That means if you stay in a hotel 7 days prior to leaving you get three more days of lodging once you arrive at your next duty station. There are other caveats, rules, and exceptions based on whether you&#39;re OCONUS or CONUS as well SFC Private RallyPoint Member Tue, 21 May 2019 20:38:35 -0400 2019-05-21T20:38:35-04:00 Response by CW4 Craig Urban made May 21 at 2019 11:00 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/does-the-army-cover-my-family-staying-in-a-hotel-while-awaiting-my-house-to-be-move-in-ready-at-my-new-duty-station-if-so-do-i-use-my-gtc?n=4657338&urlhash=4657338 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Yes CW4 Craig Urban Tue, 21 May 2019 23:00:20 -0400 2019-05-21T23:00:20-04:00 Response by SSgt Dean Santiago made May 22 at 2019 9:44 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/does-the-army-cover-my-family-staying-in-a-hotel-while-awaiting-my-house-to-be-move-in-ready-at-my-new-duty-station-if-so-do-i-use-my-gtc?n=4660380&urlhash=4660380 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>yes they should. I just looked up the Regulation and called a Finance Office, and both state you need approval for Permissive TDY. You will be experience two statuses. PCS status: PCS travel will reimburse you for POV use, hotel, and meals. 350 miles constitute one day of travel. Permissive TDY status: Your family can get up to 10 days hotel and meals to help you out process and in processes. Meals rates are based on the age and number of dependents. The days of Permissive TDY at your old station and new station depends on you. Save all the hotel receipts. Do you have a truck or van? Good luck. Don&#39;t kill yourself and the family. Drive 350 miles and be safe. The army will pay for your hotel and meals for that day of travel and other days.
