I’m sure there are a few 1SG’s and PSG’s who would have a more formal answer, but I’m thinking you are going to be out of luck on that score. You can pay for the hotel with your government card, just get receipts for all expenses. I did both. One time I lived in TLF for nearly 2 months. I think the gov pays for like 2 weeks or so. But, you have the beach to tend too. Alot of service men don&#39;t like the salt air. So you are good for whatever accommodations you will need within that time frame. Plus they have per day rentals (AirB&amp;B&#39;s) that should be available. If you exceed that you will end up paying back the extra to your GTC. Also, that 10 days of TLE is for the front side and the backside combined. That means if you stay in a hotel 7 days prior to leaving you get three more days of lodging once you arrive at your next duty station. There are other caveats, rules, and exceptions based on whether you&#39;re OCONUS or CONUS as well SFC Private RallyPoint Member Tue, 21 May 2019 20:38:35 -0400 2019-05-21T20:38:35-04:00 Response by CW4 Craig Urban made May 21 at 2019 11:00 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/does-the-army-cover-my-family-staying-in-a-hotel-while-awaiting-my-house-to-be-move-in-ready-at-my-new-duty-station-if-so-do-i-use-my-gtc?n=4657338&urlhash=4657338 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Yes CW4 Craig Urban Tue, 21 May 2019 23:00:20 -0400 2019-05-21T23:00:20-04:00 Response by SSgt Dean Santiago made May 22 at 2019 9:44 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/does-the-army-cover-my-family-staying-in-a-hotel-while-awaiting-my-house-to-be-move-in-ready-at-my-new-duty-station-if-so-do-i-use-my-gtc?n=4660380&urlhash=4660380 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>yes they should.
