Does the Army's Risk Reduction Program work?

The Army implements a wide range of risk management and safety measures to ensure the overall personal readiness of Soldiers, Family members and Army civilians. What do you think of the overall effectiveness of the program?

It works if people follow up. To my knowledge, there is not a follow up procedure at this time

At the risk of sounding PC, it depends.
Done correctly, a good RM Matrix can enhance the training experience while reducing the odds of losing training days (or worse) due to injuries that were preventable by taking some precautions.
Too often, we do the CRM sheet as if it were a check-th-box exercise, copied from last year's training, with about as much thought as filling out a 4187. This exercise is useless, and will be exposed when the leader gets asked questions in the aftermath of an accident.

We as leaders have a duty to do it the right way.
