Does the time of year that you go to USMC bootcamp determine which camo MARPAT uniform you wear or do you alternate both?

i heard about that but from what i read from other sources They will still use them for training (bootcamp, etc) and deployment (say Iraq or Afghan) i think thats kinda dumb to ditch them though because deserts look cool and then i think that the base commander should be able to decide what camo that marines on that base wear, like if its hot or cold, then change camo acrording to that.

You will find out quick they cool doesn't cut it.
