does the VA pay partial temporary 100% disability?

i am having surgery in January and know i will be out at least 30 days. does the VA pay partial temporary 100% if i am out of work over 30 days?

It depends on the procedure and how long it takes to determine a cure. I had a friend that was treated for prostrate cancer. He drew 100% during the time he was treated which it was reduced to 50% unemployable. He died a year later of COPD. He couldn't put down the cigarettes.

So do they pay in addition to your sick pay from your job? Just curious because last year I was out of work for 10 weeks due to shoulder surgery (the shoulder is service connected). I know it's too late, but again, just curious.

I know that the VA gives Temporary 100% because I was given it when I had heart surgery. With that said, if the surgery isn't due to a service connected claim, I am pretty sure the VA won't do anything for you. Give the VA a call and ask them, or call DAV or the VFW. They have people that are trained in processing claims.
