<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Yes and no. Upon discharging, you should have had a physical examination. If you needed glasses, they should have given you two pair and any other prosthetic equipment thta you will require. You should have free medical benefits, dental and be entitled to one new pair of glasses for the next two year after being released.SPC Maurice TillmanWed, 22 Jul 2020 17:54:54 -04002020-07-22T17:54:54-04:00Response by 1SG Joseph Dartey made Jul 22 at 2020 7:22 PM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>There are two answers to this question. Answer 1 is if you use the VA for Medical Care, you can get an eye exam yearly and new glasses every 2 years. If you have a 40% or more VA Disability Rating you won’t have to pay anything for the exam or the glasses if you get it all done thru the VA. Answer 2 is complicated. If you have an eye disability that is Service Connected you will never have to pay for anything needed for your specific disability needs including glasses but even if you have an eye Service Disability but you need glasses because of age you may have to pay the VA co-pay if you get glasses. So my advise is to use the VA medical system and you can get glasses or just about everything else you’ll need for your health care at very little cost to you.MAJ John LavinWed, 22 Jul 2020 20:18:01 -04002020-07-22T20:18:01-04:00Response by SGT Private RallyPoint Member made Nov 20 at 2020 7:23 AM
