My first VAMC was part of the Phoenix area. The doctor was terrible. I soon moved to the Savannah, GA area and have had two doctors. Both have been pretty good. Even with those two decent doctors I only do my regular check ups and get some of my meds from the VA. Luckily I am retired and choose to use the military medical system and TRICARE. I am lucky and never had a bad military doctor, especially specialist doctors. I like to go with what I know and am comfortable with.
