I don't think his disdain is really with the intelligence community's capabilities as it is with how the people who actually brief him impart their own bias on a situation based on their political beliefs. Whether or not this is a correct assumption on his part has yet to be determined.

It is a bit strange that the intel groups that are so certain about their conclusions need more time. If one of my past CEOs to be asked for a briefing and I said I needed more time, I would have had lots of time. To prepare my resume. This was total disrespect.

I'm dubious of the agency's findings. They have been playing politics and seem to be interested in backing up the Administration's narrative which is essentially "It's all somebody else's fault. If those Russians didn't hack Hillary's server and expose our criminal deeds, we would have won the election! How dare they think they have the right to tell the truth about us and change the outcome of our election!!!"

I was in the intelligence community for a decade. If I was Trump, I'd be skeptical too. There is no telling how many Obama ass-kissers there are in the intel field that might be pushing an agenda to support their boss -- or because they're liberals, or because they just don't like Trump.

There is just too much inconclusive stuff being pushed as hard facts, and not enough evidence. And there has been NOTHING presented that gives us any reason to disbelieve Julian Assange and Craig Murray when they say it wasn't the Russians who were the source of the Wikileaks info.

It doesn't help that the liberal media pushes lines like "the Russians hacked the election." I'm still waiting for a plausible theory that doesn't involve the Russians being the source of the Wikileaks info or the Russians hacking our voting system in any state.

After serving in the IC for 28 years, his skepticism doesn't concern me at all. I’m pretty sure his “disdain” is for the political appointees that run the IC agencies and not the normal IC analyst. Everyone knows the intel has been skewered to fit the administration’s narrative, so why would anyone trust them. It’s ironic that Trump haters are all of sudden IC champions when for the last 8 years they supported the IC hating and manipulating Obama. It’s very disingenuous.

I would like very much to defend our intelligence assets and for the record I DO believe that Russia did use their own intelligence resources to help get Trump elected but at the same time our intelligence agencies did fail badly on the Iraqi WMD program and over 4000 of our fellow service members paid the ultimate price as a result.

This administration has politicized the BATF, the DOJ, the IRS, the FBI, and even the military; the CIA politicized the Benghazi reports - why should we think they are above reproach today?

They need to show Trump proof and sources that can be checked by his own intel people before he can take their word for it. They have all compromised themselves in this administration.
