Does voting really matter to you and will you vote?

So now that the election is "officially" concluding regardless of how you feel about who won. Has your opinion changed regarding the original question about voting or not voting?

Just curious to know what people are thinking!

In 2016 and 2018 those that came out to vote seemed to mattered, or at least the volume seemed to matter. Look at these graphics and share what you think are key areas of interest for the presumptive candidates.

Some have seen these before, so please indulge me.

So, ask yourself:

- Had more people voted in 2018 than did vote, would the House and Senate changed even more than they did? Why? Why Not? And, where would increase turnout have made a difference.

- Had voter turn out had matched voter registration in 2016 how might things have changed? Why? Why Not? And, where would increase turnout have made a difference.

- Had more 18-44 yrs that were voting age in 2016 been registered to vote and actually voted what might have happened? Why? Why Not? And, where would increase turnout have made a difference.

- Looking at voter turn out in 2018 in the South and Midwest what would your strategy be in advising either candidate on what it would take to win? Why? Why Not? And, where would increase turnout have made a difference.

Frankly, I am interested in a substantive discussion. This is a strategy and tactics. Many who are undecided or have a slight learning will make their decision to election day, despite the media pundits prognostications.

As always please be respectfully of other and FACTUAL! Let's try to have some honest and frank dialogue from now until election day in this thread about recent voter patterns.

As a longtime resident of liberal California - I doubt that my vote matters.

I vote out of force of habit, not because I believe it matters.

However, on local issues - like school boards and city government, I will be more inquiring and attempt to determine the candidates stance on what is to be taught and if the council will support our Police!!

I will vote out of principle but tbh, I don't think it matters much.

I can't vote for candidates who are running for their own ideals, and not to represent the wishes of the people. I also will not vote for a candidate who insults their opposition at every turn. We need leaders not petulant children.

Option 5: Yes voting matters and I don't plan to vote. It's either Trump or Biden. I don't want either.

If you don’t vote, you cannot complain about outcomes. Your vote actually is your voice.
