5 point veterans preference on all State jobs and 10 points preference for disabled vets in Tennessee.

If the states have similar regulations, I'm disqualified as my home of record is not the same as my home residence when I ETS'd. Maybe I'm reading that wrong but it looks like you have to join and ETS to the same state?

Nothing that I'm aware of in Texas... it would be nice to get some sort of tax break, but I'm not holding my breath.

In Illinois, if you leave the military honorably, and decide to go to a state school in IL it is 4 years paid for.
