I believe it is allowed because music is for all and nothing is worn on uniform. Does your unit use loudspeakers for music during APFT 2 mile run? 2019-12-09T10:39:11-05:00 MAJ Private RallyPoint Member 5324607

I know this is done. Yes it's allowed. Hell you could even carry a phone with you playing music. From what I recall, the reg says no headphones in uniform. It doesn't say anything about units can't play motivational music or that even someone can't carry music with them.

I have my phone on me when I do the walk because I use my MayMyRun App to keep my pace. I'm AD.

Maybe not on an APFT now that I think of it. That's usually during "fun" runs.

I have seen the huge time clock set up. Tracks are boring and you have to have something to keep you entertained while running eight laps. Was really awesome having hundreds of soldiers in the motor pool before sunrise getting warmed up and listening to some good music.

I wish they would play music when doing the APFT run. Running is so boring. It wasn't bad at first during the push-ups, it was starting to get old after the sit-ups, by the time the run was over I wanted to grab the tape, smash it with a 20lb sledge hammer then set it on fire. To this day I can't listen to that song. Response by SPC Gary C. made Jul 30 at 2022 1:40 AM 2022-07-30T01:40:31-04:00 2022-07-30T01:40:31-04:00 2019-12-09T10:39:11-05:00
