I can look past the hero comment. He did say McCain was a hero four times after that anyways to be fair. All the information needs to be stated and not just the parts that suit an agenda.

Qualified. He can't be bought off. And he is straight forward. His ideas make a lot of sense and like he has said he will have people that are strong members for his office as well. Defense experts as well. He won't get the chance though, too many people out there can't take hard truth and the media is going to play against him for old who cares about Bengazi Clinton.

Constitutionally, yes. But before jumping in and saying he is not based on other factors, take a look at previous Presidents to see if he is more or less qualified than they were. Obama? He did nothing of substance before becoming President. Was he, in 2008, "qualified" to be President? Based on his experience, no.
How about Clinton? He actually protested AGAINST the USA during the Viet Nam war. He had no respect for the military as a whole and said so. Did that disqualify him from being President?
Why do a lot of people like Trump? Because he is like that loud mouth at the bar who has had one too many. He says what is on his mind. Not like the other politicians who mince around trying to say the right thing at all times. Donald Trump has plans and he puts them out there. Maybe not the best plans and maybe not put in the right way, but plans none the less. Other politicians waffle around and never bring substance to the debates.
I'm not endorsing Trump. But he is a breath of fresh air from those who have risen through the political ranks.

About John McCain. Al Franken said a lot worse about him. But of course that was under "humor" so it is okay. *eyes rolling* But once again Trump brings up a legitimate point. What makes a person a hero compared to the rest of the people in the military? Is simply being captured enough to be considered a war hero? Why? Technically he screwed up and got captured.

I believe everyone who has served honorably in the military is a hero. But, what does it really take to be labeled a Hero? Basically anybody who risks themselves to save/help others is a Hero. But is rotting in a jail cell for 6 years at that level? He would definitely be a Hero if he had been captured while freeing others from POW camps. But that is not the case. It is something to ponder upon.

Since when did we concern ourselves with a candidate's qualifications? If that were a criteria, the current President wouldn't be allowed anywhere near the Oval Office. He had no executive experience whatsoever. He had no business experience whatsoever. His record as a legislator was abysmal inasmuch as he ducked votes more often than making a decision and standing behind it. Now, before you jump all over me, check the facts. All that I have mentioned is demonstrably true. So, no, qualifications have nothing to do with it. To be President, a person need only pass one test: Election to the office. Therein the current President has excelled. He was not only elected, he was reelected. Thus, if Trump is elected, he'll be just as qualified as Obama and every other elected US President. Now, if you ask me whether or not I think Trump can do a good job in the Oval Office, that's another thing altogether. I would have to look back on past experience and consider if there has been any other candidate with Trump's qualifications and was elected to high executive office, and consider their performance as an indicator. One such fairly leaps to mind: Arnold Schwartzeneger (sp?). Arnold, like Trump, is a very successful businessman (albeit in a very different commercial arena). He was a successful business executive. However, like Trump, he had no experience as an elected official of any sort. Like Trump, Arnold well managed his image. So, how did Arnold do as governor of California? Terrible. He tried to manage the state like a business and quickly learned that governing as a horse of a different color. He had very good proposals for strengthening the state's economic outlook but was unable to "sell" them to the state legislature or the people. He then gave up and allowed the state to plummet into the abyss. (Yes, California is no longer teetering on the edge. We are now fully entrapped in financial quagmire and elected one of the people who was primarily responsible for putting us there so he could finish the job.) Thus, I do not have great expectations for a Trump Administration should he be elected...

WOW there are some roller coaster answers on here. He is Qualified legally, but so am I.

Here is what Donald is bringing to the table. I call it the "Mad American" vote. He isn't appealing to the die hard republicans, he is appealing to the moderate Republicans that are tired of the Hard Line, Tea Party Republicans out there. He is saying what those people are thinking. And with that the Mob now has a voice. His main criticism of John McCain was that he didn't help Veterans. That message got lost when he said more but its a legitimate beef. The government is picking away at Military benefits like kids pick candy canes off the Christmas tree. They sent us to war in after 9/11 now they talk about raising co-pay on Retired healthcare benefits. Seriously? They are redoing the retirement because they "Can't afford it" yet some how corporations still are pumping out tanks and Jets even though the military said they didn't need them.

Yea I wouldn't vote for Donald. He is a little off the wall for me. But His following will grow as long as he keeps appealing to the anger inside.

The issue here seems to be distinguishing between qualified and capable. Anyone that meets the Constitutional requirements is qualified. Whether that same person is either capable or competent is another story entirely.

Donald used eminent domain abuse to get started in business, used other people's money, built a casino to siphon other people's money and exploit capitalism, used nothing down real estate seminars and courses to teach others how to get rich from other people's money , then supposedly has a plan on how to create real jobs, and to fix our countries economy, yet our current economy is from people leading our nations leaders to use other people's money to finance even our nations economy. He definitely has been bankrupt and understands what debt is , yet isn't his way of getting out of debt , using other peoples money. I don't know that I trust what his strategies have added up to in his private success, if it would really add up to knowing how to manage our nations success. He can hire and fire for entertainment, but what real government science does he know, how will he know himself who to hire and fire, he will be relying on other people and that means people will have power to determine his administrations success. If he don't know but wants everyone else to know for him. I think he would try and make us all live like our whole country is for him and few wealthy people backing him. He is going to want a few people to create jobs, he will abuse his powers to help a few profit and hand off all the responsibilities to his supporters , kind of like amway and the network marketing scams, a few people will be cashing in but at the end of the term I think it will just be a few merchants who are helped out. We need a real economy. We need some businesses that aid others in creating their businesses who are not super wealthy or just middle class, we need high quality small manufacturers who pay decent wages, we need real estate nipped in the bud so that the housing costs don't sky rocket for a few investors to get rich and cash in on the wages of the working class, we need security in our spending, for families to stay together and build capital in their families and a strong family infrastructure, which is hard to imagine now because of sex drugs and rock and roll and the subversion of our nations culture.

I want a community organizer who is also somewhat of a professor. He should have served 2 years as a state legislator, and 2 years as a US Senator.

this is the bar I am setting. That person would be the best US President in the history of the world. He will probably get the UN Peace Prize right before ordering tons of drone strikes on countries that we have not declared war on.
