Donald Trump's campaign is short of cash. Should Trump himself make a large contribution, to convince others that he's serious about winning?

Donald Trump's campaign has alerted Senate Republicans that he won't have much money to spend fending off attacks from Hillary Clinton over the next couple months. The notice came when Paul Manafort, Trump's senior advisor, met with a group of Senate Republican chiefs of staff for lunch last week to review.

I think that in the future if his campaign income his insufficient, then Donald Trump should use his own assets to boost his campaign cash SP5 Mark Kuzinski.
Since this is a projected scenario it may well be a moot point.

Why doesn't loan himself the money? Lots of other candidates in the past have "loaned" their campaigns money with interest. He's gonna write this off come next year when he doesn't release his taxes again.

Now that the Republican's have their voter selected nominee, the RNC should be assisting. Even I, a Trump supporter, have a difficult time handing my cash over to a self professed "really rich" guy.

Raising money will not be an issue for the Trump campaign. He just hasn't dedicated much time to the task. That will change in the next couple of months.
It should be noted that some of his primary opponents did little besides raising campaign contributions, and look where that got them.

For someone who made a large talking point of self-funding their campaign so you knew that they didn't owe anyone any favors, it seems like it would be a very big mistake to try to raise one million rather then donating or loaning it out of the self proclaimed 10 billion dollar net worth. Then again, a large portion of his supporters haven't cared when he switched stances on issues like; abortion, torturing prisoners, single-payer health care, minimum wage laws, auto industry bailouts, bank bailouts, Obama's stimulus package or hedge fund taxing... to name a few.

I'm confused as to why he needs money to fend off attacks. That's called getting interviewed by the news and participating in debates. Pretty sure that's free except for transportation (he has his own jet), lodging (he has his own hotels), and food. Yeah, pretty sure he'll be fine.

Everyone knows he's been using his own money to fund his campaign. Like all the short changes he's done to get where is now. I bet he's just asking for money to pay hisself back for what he's put in.

Don't waste your money to buy Trump's book, The Art of the Deal. You're seeing a practical demonstration of the "art" playing out in Trump's campaign. First, he won the party nomination for a song. He spent a fraction of the amount spent by his opponents and either of the Democrats still vying for their party's nomination. He used social media masterfully and played the news media for all they were worth. Now, it's time to negotiate with the GOP. Whose hand would you rather be playing in this card game right now: Trump's or the GOP establishment's?

SP5 Mark Kuzinski - Spec; If Mr. Trump is serious about winning the Presidency then he should kick in some of his own money. If the Republicans are serious about winning the Presidency then THEY should kick in some of THEIR own money.

It's not nonsensical to me that he has flipped-flopped in taking money, like he has on so many issues, but many, even on this site, continue to support him. And the pandering to vets, when he has said and done awful things, goes without saying. I understand the "defeat Hillary at cost," philosophy, but this guy's image should be now edited into Webster's alongside so many psychological terms.
