I recently completed wlc and drill and ceremony seemed to be the toughest concept for me to grasp as bad and pathetic as that sounds. I never really march. We did touch on it in basic and ait. But being with my current unit the last three years I may have marched a handful of times and it was nothing fancy by any means. I think it instills discipline and looks so much better than a group of soldiers talking and walking out of line. Marching is after all one of the best parts to the over watching population. Uniforms and marching. That's what they recognize first. Just my opinion though.Response by CPL(P) Private RallyPoint Member made Jun 11 at 2014 5:48 AM2014-06-11T05:48:51-04:002014-06-11T05:48:51-04:00MSG(P) Michael Warrick150696<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Yes we should. We need to get back to the old days when D&C was a everyday life of the military.Response by MSG(P) Michael Warrick made Jun 11 at 2014 7:47 AM2014-06-11T07:47:36-04:002014-06-11T07:47:36-04:00CPL(P) Private RallyPoint Member151282<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I know when I was on active duty it was very important during the promotion board. If you were not good at it then it was a high likely hood that you will not get promoted. This should be done a lot more.Response by CPL(P) Private RallyPoint Member made Jun 11 at 2014 3:40 PM2014-06-11T15:40:36-04:002014-06-11T15:40:36-04:00LT Jessica Kellogg151400<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I wish we (as a military in general) did more drill.<br /><br />I think it helps instill pride and professionalism (plus is looks good and is fun)Response by LT Jessica Kellogg made Jun 11 at 2014 5:15 PM2014-06-11T17:15:11-04:002014-06-11T17:15:11-04:00SFC Mark Merino238110<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Bring it on.
