After getting my GOMOR moved to my restricted file, for a DUI while at ALC, can I get my 1059 moved as well?

I got a DUI at ALC when I was a 5 and I'm a 6 now. I got my Gomor moved to my restricted file a couple years back...can I get my 1059 moved as well?

The move to the restricted file was an act of compassion. The 1059 is an official course record which is required in your file. I do not believe it can be removed. The fact that the CG restricted his letter made your path forward possible, so you think you should let off scot free?

The good news is it's on the 1059 and less likely to not be looked at. It could have been on an NCOER.

Letters of reprimand, censure or admonition, and Article 15s can be moved to your restricted file.
AERs and OER/NCOERs are an accounting of your rated time and cannot be moved to your restricted file.

On a centralized board, what that 1059 says will be weighed against what your 1059s for completing ALC and SLC say, and more importantly what your senior raters have said about you for the last 5 years.
