Early Return of Dependents

My Spouse is from Australia and she is requesting an ERD, because she has to go to Australia it takes HQDA G1 approval does anyone know how long the process takes to get it through the system.

Depends on your Chain of Command. I did mine a while ago, 2007. It took about 3 months or less if I remember right. I had to send my daughter back so she could train for the Jr Olympics. She was a boxer. She ended up getting a bronze in the Jr. Olympics in case you wondered what the outcome was.

One of my Soldiers requested an ERD here in Korea and it took 5-6 months. Korea is probably not the standard when it comes to personnel actions.

I process EROD's everyday in Germany and depending on your S1 both BN and BDE level it should only take about a month. HRC does not sit on EROD's because most of the time that dependent needs to get out of county for some reason that is kind of urgent.

For disciplinary EROD it used to go pretty quick. For voluntary EROD, it would take about 4-6 weeks.
