<p class="pta-link-card-description">A Bangalore torpedo is an explosive charge placed within one or several connected tubes. It is used by combat engineers to clear obstacles that would otherwise require them to approach directly, possibly under fire. It is sometimes colloquially referred to as a "Bangalore mine", "banger" or simply "Bangalore".</p>

They get to vent frustrations using explosives. When I lived in the dirt as old school OPFOR we lived and died by the skill of our Engineers. Those guys could make a D-7 dance and knock out a 2-tier armored vehicle firing position in very little time with no spoils (dirt trails) and I even had one do it with DVG's.....during high winds......sands blowing......uphill both ways (lol). They could hide a 27 ton vehicle in plain site. OPFOR got the credit, but it was the Engineers who won the battle in the defense.Response by SFC Mark Merino made Oct 1 at 2015 12:48 PM2015-10-01T12:48:05-04:002015-10-01T12:48:05-04:00Pvt Private RallyPoint Member3276958<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>4th gear downhill in a backhoeResponse by Pvt Private RallyPoint Member made Jan 20 at 2018 2:49 PM2018-01-20T14:49:59-05:002018-01-20T14:49:59-05:00SPC Private RallyPoint Member3276970<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>The Buffalo.
