Enlisted Direct Commission?

So here is my own situation. I'm about to finish my Master's in Forensic Psychology. I would like to get some info on how I can become an officer within AMEDD. I just hit 13 years of service and am 32 years old. Everything I am finding is for Green to Gold which you use to get your degree or OCS which doesn't give any info for someone with a Master's. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

AMEDD recruiters. They are even on facebook and returned all my questions within 24 hours. I am not sure that your degree is a direct feeder degree. Social Workers (LCSW), Clinical, Marriage & Family Therapists (MFT's), Psychiatrists are all coveted. I have a MA in Health Psych/Behavioral Medicine and a BA in Human Services and no bueno. As always, everything changes like underwear, opinions, and ideas so check with them only. Again, AMEDD recruiters only. Congrats and best wishes. Let me know what they say so I can update my intel. SFC Mark Merino offered some great advice. Be aware, that you still could use OCS for an option. Just because it does not spell out Masters degree, it may make you more competitive. You may not end up in AMEDD since MS is the only AMEDD branch that can be gained through OCS, but it would help you cross to the darkside if that is what you wanted.

Scotto I am in the Army Enlisted Commissioning Program (AECP) through AMEDD right now. You can contact your local Office recruiter or SFC McDavitt at [login to see] . Last I knew she was the AMMED recruiter for Enlisted Commissioning.

EMDP2 allows Soldiers to remain on active duty while undergoing two years of preparatory coursework at George Mason University, in Virginia. The courses enable the students to meet the requirements for application to medical school and pass the Medical College Admission Test, or MCAT, Kellermann said."

Enlisted Soldiers from any military occupational specialty with a bachelor's degree in any field can apply to the Enlisted to Medical Degree Preparatory Program.

Thank you to all for your responses! SFC A. M. Drake gave me some great help (Sorry, would't let me tag you). It would appear that in order to go into my preferred career field within AMEDD (Clinical Psychology), I would a Doctorate's prior to being commissioned which isn't feasible to obtain while on Active Duty. I'll keep shopping around for other career fields to receive a direct commission. CPT Private RallyPoint Member - Thanks for the info. Hope life's been good to you since our time in Germany. Two letters of recommendation
One letter of recommendation from your commande
Copies of
Any licenses you hold
Birth certificate
Ssn card
Driver license
The application

Well, I'm pretty sure that both paths provide information as to what the so-procured officers will be doing. I would encourage you to check both programs out a bit more thoroughly, but selecting a path which allows one to USE the degree certainly is preferable to being a generic officer (probably combat arms or something like that). Seek our more information via Army Regs.
