Entry Level Separation: who else has been defrauded by unscrupulous doctors?

Was anyone here given an Entry Level Seperation for an injury incurred in basic? Did the Air Force claim your injury existed prior to service. This happened to me. The doctor lied and said that I told him the injury was EPTS. After talking to people who were placed in Medical Hold, I'm finding out that this happened to a lot of other Airmen.

Fortunately, my injury was not labeled as existing prior. I was able to go through the normal recovery process and remain in the military.

What did you do that was so bad they had to dope you up? What meds were you on?

My purpose for posting here is not to go into detail about the circumstances of my injury. I'm just trying to connect with other people who were given a illegal diagnosis, placed in medical hold or who's discharge is characterized as anything other than honorable or medical because of their injury.

I was not diagnosed with hypothyroidism in 2011 during a trip to the ER, when lab work clearly showed it. 3 years later I finally was diagnosed, after being out for 2 years. My sister and I have the same symptoms and she got 100% through the VA. I got the bird.

Paul I actually agree about some of the Air Force Doctor.. I dont know if it incompetint or just they were ranked 500 of 500 of graduating class od doctors. My father was in 23 years and a kid most of the time my dad would fight to get us seen by civillian dr who would find and cure what they missed. When I went in and some airman tripped and knocked me down a flight of stairs let me tell u if my father wouldnt have helped me they were getting ready to boot me when I could hardly stand let alone walk..So the guy that was saying dr would do that I would say you need to talk to me I have 8 months of my career dealing with the same dr he says oh they would do that!!!

I was told in 1983 while in boot camp I had a preexisting medical condition. I knew this was wrong but assumed anything a doctor told me was true. If internet access had existed then this would have been resolved long ago. I didn't have a condition before enlistment, but 3 weeks later in boot camp a traumatic brain injury led to epilepsy the rest of my life.

I was given ELS with "preexisting asthma" after catching pneumonia during the last week of BMT. Became a professional athlete and later a Deputy Sheriff so I'm not sure how good the Air Force DR is at judging these things...

Evidently you did not or could not prove to the Medical staff that your injury happened after entry. That is not Unscrupulous nor fraud- they had nothing to benefit by putting you out- suggest you look up your definitions some more.
