EO Complaint / Urban Myth? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/eo-complaint-urban-myth

Does anyone know of an EO complaint that started out as an on the SPOT Correction for appearance / or any other reason not listed? I hear male soldiers use the excuse they don't want to correct female warriors due to "EO; I don't work with females...", and how they will get in BIG trouble if they even look at a female warrior the wrong way. Has anyone really been written up or is this an Urban Myth? I have never heard of something like this happening but I have heard plenty of Marines (especially in combat arms that donb't work with females) say this before. Both were unfounded and then dismissed. But there was a history of this SGT of doing this in order to avoid being processed out of the Army. Sad to say there are a lot of "leaders" who think these are the same thing.

Once you get down to the facts it always comes down to HOW that correction was made. Like I said I have never seen a complaint on a NCO or Officer who pulled a Soldier aside and respectfully told them about whatever correction they needed to make. "Who do you ACTUALLY know for sure this happened to? Were you there to witness or are you just hearing your buddy's side of the story?"

Every response I've heard so far comes from someone who knows someone thus making this generally bogus in my eyes.
(Im not saying it doesn't happen. Duh I'm sure it does.) SSG V. A EO rep will hopefully listen and make the call. I would also ensure in my command or Soldiers know what my standards are up front. Leave no question. That way no one Soldier is being singled out. I have no quarrels correcting any Soldier not to standard. It's my experience that most males who have said that come from combat arms and aren't used to dealing with females. But if one is tactful and uses common sense (announce what you are going to fix before you do or say "I'm going to touch you ....where ever and wait for the ok) that they should be fine. I'm sure it has happened and will again. Its funny because some MOSs tolerate yelling, screaming and calling Soldiers everything but their name.
