I am not sure how best to phrase the question, but how does someone do reserve jobs OCONUS. I am active right now but am in the window of deciding what I want to do within the next 12 months. I spent many years stationed in Germany, but I am not tracking on how does one get back over there to serve in a reserve billet? Any insight would be helpful.

You can also do ADOS. I'm switched from ARNG to IRR, picking up ADOS orders here in Japan. Looking for more permanent opportunities within PACOM/EUCOM though. Here's how IMA works in Japan.

In order to stay in Europe you would need to take the test to work on the economy or need to be logistically supported by an on base job. There are also ADOS as mentioned above - short active duty tours.

I belong to the reserve unit at devens, mass. Which is EUCOM. I'm leaving to go to my annual training shortly. To answer your question I'll let you know when I return. We do the same job as the active duty does in what J section we're in. It's like giving them a break or covering them while on leave or at school.
