Every time I log in I have so many notifications, often over 50, of things that have nothing to do with me. How can I lower it?

Every time I log in, I have lots of notifications that have nothing to do with me. Often about people I don't know posting in these different groups I'm apparently in (Like my MOS, Ft Campbell, 101st ABN, SGT/E-5 etc..) How can I make it so I only get notifications when someone responds to me/responds to my topic?

Hey SGT Suraj Dave - all of the suggestions so far are great! Just wanted to let you know that we are definitely aware and working on the surplus of notifications. Hang tight and we'll get it all fixed up as soon as possible.

I have been annoyed by this since the site changed. The site is better, i stopped looking at notifications because they are overwhelming. The old method of notifications was much better.

You will have to unfollow groups. I also log into RallyPoint and discover a large number of unread notifications that have nothing to do with me. Never-the-less, I scroll through and see what catches my eye.
