What are the typical turn-around times for releasing the results of the board? I checked the MOI and MILPER, and nothing stood out to me. Past experience doesn't guarantee future performance, so this is more of a curiosity question. In searching I couldn't find anything for you. All of our Boards are getting so tough to decipher what's needed! I wish you nothing but the best! I too have my packet in on this one. I would expect the normal 3 month turnaround for an Officer Promotion Board. The board is small in comparison to most, but the approvals needed are the same. If we are lucky, late Aug/early Sep. So, for 1LT to MAJ, expect the board to convene and rank order candidates. The results are submitted for legal and EO review. Once this review is complete and verified, the results are submitted for HRC/G1 approval. Once approved by HRC/G1, then the Legislative Liaison submits the results to the Senate for nomination consideration. Once the Senate confirms, the results are published. Because the Senate confirmation is informal/informational in nature for O-2 through O-4, this process can go rather quickly.

For O-5 and above, Senate confirmation is more active and individual promotions can be held-up by the Senate (i.e. Oliver North), which may result in a delayed response/promotions effective date.
