Today, I heard an NCO, Jeremiah, asking for people to keep his family in their thoughts. He was trying to raise money for his brother, Justin Nance, who was involved in an severe accident the day before Halloween. Justin was running an errand at work, and was hit by a van. Both passengers in the van were killed, and Justin's pelvis was crushed and his spine was broken. He is married with three little girls: Corbyn 7, Hannah 7, and Dakota 4.
With Christmas coming up, is there anything we could do to help this soldier's brother?

Don't get me wrong here cause I am all about helping people on any level. Have you looked into any of this before posting it if its real or not? Its one of the easiest way to scam money is to post a few pics and a sob story and you get people on board.

It really sucks that this extra step has to be taken. Some people will do anything for more money in their pocket. I am more of a live a quiet life with few necessities kind of guy. Probably because I was never confronted with large sums of money. I consider myself blessed.

I know that this post is a little late, but both SGT Wilkins and SGT Carr are in my unit and as SGT Wilkins said, it is indeed legitimate. I deployed with Carr in 2012 and he's a good troop.

I don't know if his story is true and I hope its not because if it is then I really feel bad for him and his family. There are alot of us going through a hard time. I have asked for help from Toys for Tots and my Tanker group and another charity group.I know of another guy whom had to move him and his son from where they were comfortable to another location and has to start over.He doesn't have much for his son this Christmas but he is doing the best he can.I also know of another family whom has been adopted by their neighbor, and her church and another charity.Help is out there if you look for it

SPC Richard White, this is true. I spoke to Jeremiah and I volunteered to try and find help, if I possibly could. I have to at least put his story out there. It's difficult for me to do nothing.
