Favorite place visited on liberty and why?

While out on detachments, R&R, deployment, etc. what has been your favorite place visited? My personal best was diving off the coast of Japan and viewing the underwater statues and caves or hugging a Koala bear in Australia. Please share photos if you have them!

Perth, Australia in 1968 aboard the USS Claud Jones ( DE-1033 ). It wasthe first visit by an American warship since WWII and the whole city put on a party for us.

Ashdod Israel. The people were very nice and offered samples of Kosier foods. We also saw some of the places in the Bible.

Mine would have to be jet skiing and playing golf in Doha, Qatar. I was actually stationed at Doha, so I guess it doesn't really count. I also had a small trip to Bahrain and spent some time on the beach there, wasn't too bad.
