I know most of the discussions on here are geared towards issues that we face as the service members of the Military, but I also feel that connecting with people in general makes us stronger. The life we live can be kind of lonely, and finding common ground with out fellow service members is fairly important to me. On that note:
What is your instrument of choice? Do you write your own music, or just play other peoples songs? Post pictures of your guitar, bass, drums, band, keyboard, etc. if you feel so inclined.
I play the guitar. Acoustic mostly, since I tend to play by myself. While I have written a couple of songs personally, I normally just play cover songs. I can sing, but I am not the best singer in the world (understatement). I will try and upload pictures of my guitar when I can.

All music, whether rock, country, blues, jazz, hip-hip/rap, etc., is just poems accompanied by instruments.

I play the electric, acoustic, and bass. My weapon of choice is an ESP LTD 602 Kirk Hammett Signature. I have played for 10 years and it is still the best stress relief out there. I also have been in a choir for almost 9 years. I play covers, mostly rock and heavy metal. Ironic considering I sing in a church choir. This is the only picture I have on me of my guitar.

Good ol Ebay. It's hard to find instruments since I am a lefty. I have a picture of the setup I used to have. 7 guitars including a First Act acoustic, Jackson DK2 Dinky, Ibanez RG something with a Floyd Rose, Fullerton 5-string Bass, Ibanez soundgear bass, an Epiphone Les Paul, and one I can't remember. I also had a full recording studio with 3 electric guitar amps, and 2 500 watt bass amps, a mic, and a mastering station. When my barracks used to get inspected, none of my NCOs could understand how I fit so much stuff in there.

Very nice choices. I currently have the guitar pictured above and a no name acoustic that I got for 40 bucks at a pawn shop

Everyone needs a "beater" guitar. I had a deployment guitar, but our Conex was robbed on the return trip from Afghanistan and my guitar was one of the victims. I was temped to get a new one, but decided against it. I may pick up another one, but we shall see. I am happy with what I have now.
My parents got me a Ukulele for Christmas 2013, but I don't play it too often.
