Ummmm...darn it, those catfish just don't strike well on an empty hook : ) I used to fish for bullheads(a cousin of the catfish) when I was younger. It seems as though they were the sneakiest fish around as they could nibble a worm right off of the hook with no one none the wiser! That was before I discovered beer and its wondrous healing properties.

Bass fishing, whether trolling for them with soft lures or throwing an empty hook in when the white bass school up...its always a great time!

I can remember countless hours casting for large mouth and then seeing the white bass school up on Stillhouse Hollow Resevoir. My friend, a retired 1SG would kick the main motor in and we would pull the white bass out left and right. When all was said and done we would measure every one we caught and throw back those that were too small. We would then retreat to teasing the monster large mouth out of their dens on the road below the lake...wonderful sport if one didn't mind the buckshot from the duck hunters : )

I'm a fan of bass fishing. It's great when I catch one and relaxing when I don't. Trout fishing seems to have a technique all it's own and I'll admit it...I'm too lazy to learn it!
