Flight travel?

Hi All,

I have a question, i heard that we can travel from one base to another if there is a base nearby suppose from San Antonio to California to air force base. Is that allowed and if it is what is the process for the same?

Depends on who orders the travel and for what purpose

Are you talking about Space A when you are on leave or about travel on orders for a TDY?
I assume the former. CW5 Jack Cardwell posted the AMC link but also check if there is a Naval Air Station nearby. Sometimes they have space/seats as well

I used to fly all over the country on Space-A. Most of the time it was on a KC-135. Just be careful, if you fly Space-A from San Antonio to California (or anywhere else) you should have enough cash to fly commercial should your return flight be cancelled or diverted. I did fly from Fairchild AFB, WA to Minot AFB, ND in a practically empty C-5. It was a hoot playing nerf football at 35,000 feet.

Thanks all, i was able to successfully use Space A.
Process which i went through wanted to share with the group about the necessary information.
--> Apply leave
--> Register with necessary passenger terminal, in my case it was Hickham and also Travis.
--> Sign out from the company
--> Check the passenger terminal facebook page, they post three days in advance. Note flights will change sometimes be prepared for a delay.
--> Mine got delayed as it was kind of medical flight waiting for patients. C17.
--> It will be cold be prepared like getting some blankets.
