What resources or insight can anyone recommend to me. I'm currently studying for the SIFT, my ASVAB was 97 and GT was 136 I believe. Thank you for your time. I recommend going on Amazon and investing in the 2019-2020 SIFT study guide. The SIFT should not necessarily be about whether you pass or fail, but rather how high above the 40 point minimum score you attain. Sharpen your knowledge in areas that it recommends you to and take the test. Have three great Letters Of Recommendation, all with quantitative data on why you are the best for the job. Enumerated narrative such as “[number; hopefully 1, but not required] out of [however many] in the platoon/company.”

Keep your essay short and to the point. The board only has a couple of minutes per packet, so filler is not your friend. Make what you say matter with less and express why you would be the best for the job.

Resources: A good place to start is the military forum on Vertical Reference. Also, Army Aviation on Reddit has a lot of information. Those places also have links to good study guides for the SIFT.
