SGT Private RallyPoint Member 2317157 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>So the TAIS is two HMMWVs, a generator, and a cargo trailer. Problem is one HMMWV has a shelter on it and cannot tow anything while the other one tows the genny and the cargo trailer goes unused. So the question is, am I off base here saying the Shelter truck can&#39;t tow anything? It&#39;s how I was trained. Im Considering ordering a troop carrier kit for the support truck so we can move organically. For army 15-Q, are there any TAIS operators here? I have a bit of a logistical question. 2017-02-06T11:36:20-05:00 SGT Private RallyPoint Member 2317157 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>So the TAIS is two HMMWVs, a generator, and a cargo trailer. Just to be safe, i would talk to my ATC Chief to get more guidance. Go see your maint Warrant, go with the TM in hand havening done your best to understand what it says, don&#39;t go and make him(her) do the leg work) If you go prepared and ask the Chief to confirm or deny what you researched, dollars to donuts they will with a smile.<br />maint chiefs are true professionals, expert&#39;s in their field, but they are not baby sitters.. My out of office is on but I will still see your questions Response by SSgt Dwight Deatherage made Feb 6 at 2017 9:10 PM 2017-02-06T21:10:14-05:00 2017-02-06T21:10:14-05:00 SSG Private RallyPoint Member 2404227 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>That truck was made to tow the cabin and generator. This is because the TAIS with generator is the entire operational system. I&#39;m pretty sure that the picture on the front of the TM shows the truck with gen trailer. The support vehicle and cargo trailer are not considered part of the system.
