For current/ prior NCO's, especially ARMY, without any googles,reference etc, recite NCO creed! GO!

No one is more professional than I! I am a noncommissioned officer, a leader of soldiers. As a noncommissioned officer I realize I am a member of a time-honored corps, which is known as the backbone of the Army.
Competence is my watchword. My two basic responsibilities will always be uppermost in my mind: accomplishment of my mission, and the welfare of my soldiers. I will strive to be the best leader I can be, to seniors, peers, and subordinates alike.
Officers of my unit will have maximum time to accomplish their duties. They will not have to accomplish mine.

Please don't whine if offended by terms of endearment above, I'm kind of Old School for a 40 y/o veteran. Got hazed by 3 star general receiving EFMB and by wife with SGT Stripes, lol!
