So you think President Trump is "evil" or "immoral" or what have you for limiting immigration from dangerous nations, and cracking down on illegal immigration into the U.S. OK. On the basis of your outrage and support for the wholesale opening of our borders, how much will you put your money where your mouth is?

Classic Democrat mindset from what I have seen. We somehow have all this room to support 5 million or so Syrian refugees. They just can't be anywhere close to the supporters of those who want them here. One absurd suggestion was to stick them on military bases. Yes thousands, if not millions of foreigners with poor vetting wandering around military posts. Just what we want.
Syrians should stay in their country. The Syrian region has always had an unstable government. Stay. Fight. Don't just run away like cowards.

My guess is most of them have never been close to a refugee in their life. To me the hypocrisy is this has been done before by several presidents. Only now we have a left wing media that is going to make everything Trump does a crisis.

Sorry. I had to get the sarcasm out of my system. We do not have a left wing media. Fox news has the highest ratings of any of the 24 hour news stations, and for every New York Times, there's a Wall Street Journal. For every Mother Jones there's a Breitbart.

Unless you grew up in a US/Mexico Border town you have no say on the Immigration matter; you just don't! You haven't seen what happens...
Increased crime... the rapes, the murders, the constant theft of anything not locked down behind a wall, or welded down. If you have something nice... drive it in the community, and ultimately that nice thing will no longer be nice once you park it... and it can be stolen as quickly as half an hour after you purchase it.
It is not a Racial issue for me... I have Hispanic Arnold's... I know... Shocking huh?!! Imagine that! Embraced as mean snot nose Arnold's. Now they are even meaner... well... they have it in them.
Mexico is a Dark place right now... the Government owned by the Drug Cartels is killing and murdering the members of the other Cartels it does not accept. To go down there would be a risk; a terrible risk that if the worst happened to you I couldn't write it here. I am a first born Son of a former US Border Patrol Commander of Yuma, Arizona... and they would love to roast me over a fire.

That's a meaningless false choice. Does every single American who thinks we should step up military actions against ISIS have to join the Army? Do those who favor extreme vetting have to be willing to go work for the State Department to conduct such vetting? Does everyone in favor of better border security have to go join the Border Patrol? Of course not. But it doesn't mean they don't support the government adopting those policies; and we all pay for the policies of our government through our taxes.

SSG (Join to see) - that's great that you are willing to do that. But your pay and your "free" healthcare will still be paid for by the US taxpayers, both those who agree with what you are doing and those who don't. So I just think that you don't have to volunteer to work in a government program in order to comment about what your government does and doesn't do.

You say that Americans don't have to have any "skin in the game" when it comes to vital national security issues? Well let's look at 2nd and 3rd order effects of having open borders with no background checks for those pouring into our country.
Schools: all these "immigrants" bring kids or have kids here. These kids start overcrowding your schools. Teachers are now overwhelmed and cannot give as effective instruction to all the kids in the class. Thus your kid's education suffers. School resources dry up faster, and there's no additional budget. Overall quality of your kid's school suffers. Immigrant gangs start popping up. Your kid starts coming home with bruises and other minor injuries. The school, already overwhelmed and scared to be accused of racism, will do nothing. Your irrational fear of firearms means there will be no school security either.
Hospitals: Recent experiences have shown that these "immigrants" use the Emergency Room as a primary care service. So when you or someone in your family actually gets injured, you will wait hours for service, and then you will get the minimum service because the hospital is understaffed, overwhelmed, and is now running low on certain supplies.
Your community: These new "immigrants" start moving into your neighborhood. At first you feel really good that you were part of giving these people a new start in life. But then word is these immigrants are packing relatives, distant relatives, friends, associates, etc. into their homes, and their activities are becoming annoying to you and the rest of the neighborhood. Robberies and break-ins become more prevalent. Gangs begin to roam the streets. Eventually they organize "Sharia Police" patrols that harass women, girls, and physically abuse everyone they deem to be not following THEIR rules in YOUR neighborhood. At first the police try to keep the peace, but eventually their superiors refuse to get caught up in the politics of race and don't want the department to be labeled racist and/or investigated for that. So now you're pretty much on your own. You don't own guns because you have an irrational fear of them magically hurting people on their own.
Economy: These new "immigrants" sign up for every public assistance program that is offered. Over time, these programs need to be expanded to accommodate all the new arrivals. So the government raises taxes in order to keep these programs afloat. Your property taxes go up, city taxes go up, and state taxes go up. Suddenly your money isn't buying as much as it used to. You have to start cutting back on certain things that your family has become accustomed to. Also, due to the increasing crime and violence in your locality, certain businesses have moved away. That means you have to drive further to obtain certain items. That's more gas being burned. Your property values go down because no one wants to buy houses in your neighborhood. Your home value decreases and you're stuck paying a mortgage you will never get out from under. But you still feel great that you helped these helpless "immigrants" establish a foothold in America.
So keep on thinking that what you scream for, protest for, and vote for won't have far-reaching effects on everyone in America, and on YOU. Keep drinking the Kool-Aid and wearing those blinders. Everything is awesome. Cognitive Dissonance is a great thing for you!

SSG(P) Ryan R. - I'm confused by this. All the freeloaders? Who are you talking about? How many are there? When was this time when everyone worked and provided for their own family or they starved and lived in the woods? I'd love to see the evidence.
